We are happy to report that we were able to help Nora and her daughter get out of their homeless situation and into their own apartment today. We built a budget with them, they found an apartment that fit this budget, and we helped them with the security deposit. Read their story below:

My daughter and I are seeking your assistance because at this time we are homeless. I lost my job and could no longer pay the rent for our apartment. We have since stayed with a relative for only a few days because they are not allowed to have people stay there for longer. We stayed with a friend also and even have stayed in our car for some nights. My daughter and I have a part time job at this time. We are looking for a second job to get us back on our feet. We have been looking for a small apartment or even a room to rent in someone’s home but have not been able to due to the fact that the deposits are so high and we just don’t have the money. This situation has been so stressful for both of us but we have faith in God that things will get better. We would greatly appreciate your assistance to help us pay for a deposit or part of the rent so we can get our own little place and get off the street. Thank you and God Bless. -Nora
