Today we congratulate Makaleah, Xuesh, and their son for ending their homeless situation. We were happy to help them with their security deposit so they could move into their own rental.

Dear OTS, Our family of 3 have been homeless for about a year now. We have been moving from hotel to hotel trying to get the cheapest place we can find. We have spent a few nights in our car due to no money or being unable to find a hotel room. My boyfriend works full time. I go to school and take care of our 2 year old son full time. We have finally found a perfect safe place to raise our son and they actually accepted our application. Section 8 just approved us and we received our voucher. So finally we will have somewhere stable and safe for our son to live. We just need help with the deposit for our new place. Right now we don’t have any money for the deposit. The last time my boyfriend got paid we put a down payment to hold the apartment so that will go towards the deposit. Since we have been moving around so much and living in our car we don’t have any furniture or anything for our new place. We have to start all over from scratch. We would appreciate any help that you can provide. Anything is better than nothing. Thank you so much for your help and giving us as parents an opportunity to feel like good parent’s again.
