Today we congratulate Roy for ending his homeless situation by getting into his own apartment. Roy contacted us this past June, we built a budget with him, and when he found an apartment that fit this budget we were happy to helping him with the security deposit. Read his story below:
Well my story is this. I’ve been homeless for a little over a year now. I was living in an apartment complex it has changed ownership so there for everybody had to move out. They pay his $500 but we all couldn’t find a place at the time, so I was living at the park here near. I may stay with a friend, but most the time I was always have, park on the street. They never be times when churches come in give us food and stuff, feeders at the parks things like that. I was laid off my job for about a year. I just got back working earlier this year so I’ve just been working and working and trying to find a place to stay. I have no no Addictions, but my credit score is low so it’s hard for me. So I’m just trying to get back on my feet. I hope to open a bank account now so I’m trying to save and get back on my feet. Now that’s basically my story that I just been struggling. First time ever been down just low you know I’m homeless but I have been struggling and you have paid by the grace of God I’m getting back up on my feet. -Roy
