Today we were able to help Elizabeth and her 2 sons get out of their homeless situation and into their own home. For the last 2 months they have been staying in motels and she was referred to us by Illumination Foundation. Elizabeth could afford her rent but not the security deposit, so we helped her by paying this today. Elizabeth works full time. Read her story below:
“Good afternoon, I moved here two months ago to work at a new job. My two children and I moved from Frisco TX to Orange County at the end of Aug and immediately started to search for housing. Its been a struggle being homeless and looking for affordable housing in a new city. My income is very low and getting settled with a home is more than what my income alone can handle. My family really needs your help because we are homeless and will remain that way without the help of Off The Streets Huntington Beach. My family and I appreciate your time and all your help in our time of need.
