Today we congratulate Chelsey, Steve and their baby boy for getting into their own apartment today. We built a budget with them and they were able to find a rental that they could afford. With such a young baby it will be great for this family to have a home of their own for the Holidays instead of having to stay at a hotel. Read their story below:
Hello my name is Chelsey I am a mother of a 6 month old baby boy. I worked all the way till I was 21 weeks pregnant with my son and wished to continue to do so but my water broke at 22 weeks. I ended up in the hospital for almost 3 mos, lost my car, I was on bed rest, lost my job, and lost my place I had at the time due to not working. It has been a very hard year for myself and my kids along with my partner Steve who is our biggest supporter. He stayed every day every night with me in the hospital and did not leave my side he found a job with the union within 2 weeks of us being checked into the hospital and has been there ever since. It is no where near what he does or has done but he is there to help support our family. After all that I ended up going full term and having a very healthy baby boy. When I brought my son home god was by our side and opened up a 2 bedroom apartment. We moved in and settled to not move again. Our landlord gave us a 30 days notice due to him wanting to remodel and move family in from out of town. We have been looking for another place but It has been very hard due to our credit between Steve and myself. I have a social worker who is going to be giving us a 18 day voucher for a hotel as of the 1st if we have not yet found something, I have been doing everything I can to avoid that for the sake of my baby boy. I am in contact with a home owner who is willing to rent to us regardless of our credit. This would be huge for my family and i if we got this opportunity with your help we could have a jump start to something new and forget about our losses. We do have enough money for the first months rent it would be a blessing for your help with the deposit. Now that our son is almost 7 mos I am going back to work in the dental field. I want to thank you for taking the time to look over my story as i can only pray for the best.
