Today we congratulate Alana and her son for ending their homeless situation which they have been enduring for the last 8 months. From her story below, you can see that Alana is a hard-working, caring mother!
I have been homeless now for about 8 or more months. I lost my job a little over a year ago. Was working temp positions here and there but was not enough to make ends meet. I had to break my lease and move out. Which I am making payments on to clear off my credit record. Due to that it’s been hard to find a place and is also why my deposit is so high. I had nowhere to go. I would leave my son at my mom or dad’s houses while I stay in my car, with friends or at families houses. I picked up a position at the job I am currently at now soon after. I have been here for a little over a year. I work 40 hours a week now. I love my job and thank God everyday for it. Due to my amount of hours and pay I am not eligible for any county assistance. I have been looking for a place for the past 3 to 4 months and have not had any one accept me. The landlord blessed me with this one. She is a true blessing working with me to rent me this unit. I can afford rent every month, but my deposit is high do to previous renting issue. Any help I would truly be grateful for, I just really need help with this deposit. I can afford rent, food and other cost of living. This would truly be a huge blessing to me and my son. He is the main reason for everything. He is a great , good kid and deserves a stable place with his mother. Times have been hard, very HARD but many blessing have been coming and I truly appreciate any blessings you can help me and my son with. I promise I am a good, responsible person who works hard everyday and just needs a little help. Thank you so much for you time and good bless you all for what you do. Thank you, Alana
