Meet the family that allowed OTS to make our 30th person placed this year. Kameisha and her 5 children had been living in a shelter for several weeks. Their time there ran out and even though Kameisha found a house she could afford to rent, the cost of the security deposit prevented her from moving in, so they have been living in a motel instead. For many homeless living in a hotel provides essential shelter, but it burns through their cash quickly, and isn’t sustainable long term. A social service agency referred Kameisha to Off The Streets – HB for assistance. OTS was able to help with the deposit and furniture so Kameisha and her 5 children could move into their new home! We congratulate this family for finally getting into a place they can now call home.
